Something quite incredible happened yesterday here in Rio de Janeiro. While my husband and I were on our way to our favourite cafe, for our weekend coffee and freshly baked croissants, we passed by an insignificant bed of quite tall yellow flowers, seemingly uncared for at the edge of the patterned pavement.
The streets are always busy with a multitude of cars and people and tranquil is not a word I would use to describe the ambience. But as we were picking our way down the uneven black and white paving something flashed by me.
